Another update for Arras Theme is now available in the WordPress themes directory.
New Features
- Added WP-Email support into post bar and improved its appearance in the default style
- Added description on where to place custom background images
- Added options to display specific items in single post template (categories, tags, published date, postbar)
- Added thumbnail width and height options in functions.php of the theme
- Added support for Multi-Level Navigation Plugin. If you wish to have more control with your top navigation it is highly recommended you use this plugin.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed DIV IDs in featured posts that could cause XHTML validation errors
- Name and email required fields are now based on WordPress settings
- Fixed search template not displaying nicely as it should
- Fixed sub-menus not styled if top navigation option is set to pages
- Fixed Edit Post link not working in post bar
- Fixed qTranslate plugin translating the theme options fields
- Fixed most Lightbox plugins not working with the theme

I am currently investigating why the comments are not shown on my page, they are in the source but are not displayed in Firefox (or IE 8).
That was a quick fix. Had another plugin “Tabbed Sidebar” which disturbed the comments.

This is really one of the better looking themes.
Some notes though.
I however could help but notice that their seem to be some issues with the 3 Colum left and right sidebar version using IE6 ( 6.0.2900.5512.xpsp_sp3_gdr.090206-1234 )
The browser seems to never seems finish loading.
The three colum “right” version does seem to work. ( even though it doesn’t seem to fit on 1024×768 )
I run WordPress 2.7.1 with only one plugin ( qTranslate 2.3.4 )
Disabling the plugin doesn’t seem to make any difference
Can you advice how to fix the additional picture that appears under “Tags”? Have tried all answers in the community forum but nothing seems to work.

hi there i’m just usign your theme but i tried to update my blog to last version wordpress 2.8 but the layout of my home page change seem that your theme is not completly compatible with this version, can you confirm me that? and have you planned some update for fix this problem? thanks Ivan

We have also released a new menu plugin for WordPress called the PixoPoint Menu plugin. It uses the same function name as the Multi-level navigation plugin so should work automatically with your new theme as well.

Hi! Great Mag theme. I found this Arras v.13.5 theme from wordpress.org. Just want to bring this to your kind attention and correct if I’m wrong. I found out that the file index.php is empty. Please help. Thanks
I’m also a fan of this theme, but there are still some lay-out bugs, for me the lay out is messed up when viewing the theme in a resolution of above 960 pixels.
Amazing Theme! Is there a way to make the featured article picture on the home page taller? I’d like for it be 630 x 400 or something along those lines. Is that possible? I tried changing a value in functions.php which made the pictures on the posts taller but not the home page. Thank you!

By the way, I want to ask why all picture in my posts can’t displayed on the Homepage as thumbnail. There are none picture on my Homepage. Do I need additional plug-ins to support that? If I do so please tell which plug-ins do I need.

There seems to be a bug. The theme displays private posts on the front page. Using most recent versions.
In IE the website looks perfect, but in firefox or googlechrome I only see certain thumbs in stead of them all…
What am I doing wrong here?? (arras theme/wordpress)

Missing Picture Solution! (partial)
I had worst problems. Like some of you, I couldn´t see any picture in my blog. I use Opera. I felt sadly, cause Arras Theme is very close to my dream-Theme I ever wanted. Is it Operas fault? So I tryed every browser, IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome. Nothing helped.
I already believed that Arras could Fake us, cause also on wordpress.org I didn´t see any Pic in the Theme-Preview!!! But than I saw a working installation on http://www.stefanhasselblad.com
Should I be to stupid? I checked all Theme-Options.
Solution!
Then I remembered something and I changed /library/cache from suggested 755 to 777 by
chmod 777 /..your-path../blog/library/cache with putty. FTP should do also.
AND IT WORKED!
ehm.. a little bit.. My first article has the correct picture now. All others are missing. I guess thats cause Arras-Theme didn´t growed with the articles.
But wasn´t there some word about a script told that fills the cache with thumbnails? I think I must have a closer look to the forum again ^^

Hey, your theme is definitely the best I’ve ever used.
But I’m having a problem with the featured posts not displaying properly. As soon as a mouse rolls over it, it restarts the to the first slide. Any help?
