I got it working on WPMU hacking on the timthumb.php. You can download the file from my blog. I’m not sure if it was the best way to do it (I’m not a programmer by trade) but it seems to be working across multiple blogs.

Very nice theme! I want to change mine but I have a question, is it possible to add a page? Because in all the demos I just see categories but not even one page. If it is possible, I will use it for sure!
